Today in class we played follow the leader. Explain some ways that society mimics the game. Are there any "follow the leader" incidents at Sigourney Schools? What are your thoughts?

  1. One way society mimics follow the leader is when people copy what celebrities do. In school some people all wear the same types of cloths. It was kind of embarrassing walking in a line down the hallway, and following what you did.

  2. An example of society playing follow the leader would be al of the 10 year old girls that run around trying to act like Miley Cyrus. Often times in the school you will see the underclassmen trying to be more like the upperclassmen, and they will follow what the older kids are doing. There are times when following a leader is good because it usually takes a leader to get things done, but people shouldn't lose sight of their own individuality and capability of being a leader themselves.

  3. Some of the ways that society plays follow the leader is how everyone tries to copy different fashions. People try to act and mold their lives like celebrities do. In our school i the upperclassman play a kind of leader roll, the underclassman are always trying to copy us. I think that "follow the leader" has a roll in society but you shouldn't live your life around it. You should be who you want to be not what someone else thinks you should be.

  4. During the presidential elections each candidate was trying to get you to vote for them by advertising things the people would like. In Sigourney there are a few examples of follow the leader. For example you are more likely to act and dress like the people you hang out with than someone else.
